Item Description
Award winning America in Bloom community Morro Bay, California was founded in the mid-1800s as a port for the export of dairy and ranch products. During that time, schooners could often be seen at the Embarcadero picking up wool, potatoes, barley, and dairy products. But times have definitely changed. Morro Bay is now a charming colorful destination for beach holidays with flowers, art, boats, and beaches.
Morro Rock, an ancient volcanic mound at the end of Morro Rock Beach, is such an impressive site that Morro Bay is often referred to as the “Gibraltar of the Pacific.” The rock sits within Morro Bay State Park, home to lagoons, nature trails and a bird-rich saltwater marsh.
Included in this package is a two-night stay at the elite Inn at Morro Bay, a waterfront property surrounded by 4,000 acres of rugged woodlands overlooking Morro Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Best available garden view room is guaranteed but feel free to request a bay view room when making the reservation and the hotel staff will honor that request if a room is available.
The lucky winner of this package will be treated to dinner for two at one of Morro Bay’s most elegant restaurants, Dorn's Breakers Cafe. No dollar limit but alcohol is not included.
Also, if you wish, you will tour Morro Bay and learn of the America in Bloom efforts there first-hand with a personal tour with America in Bloom Board member Walter Heath. He is inspiring and amazing. With this package, you’ll get to indulge in a seaside vacation of your dreams.
This package is restricted to Sunday-Thursday nights and cannot be redeemed on Holidays or Special Events. It is subject to availability and cannot be scheduled July-September. This package expires December 31, 2020.
