Item Description

2" tall, 7" wide at top and 4" wide at base

Your Bowl is made from Figured Black Walnut (Juglans Nigra). Native to many regions throughout the U.S. Walnut is a hard and luxurious wood. The Walnut grown in the Mid-Central and Mid-South of the U.S. (Missouri, North Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Southern Illinois, and Southern Indiana) is regarded as some of the most beautiful woods in the world. Its highly figured grains and its iridescent tones and hues can be spectacular. The Burl of the Black Walnut tree is highly prized and is one of America’s most beautiful woods. Color variations, streaking, tones and hues are random in this wood making it a complete unknown until it’s turned, revealing nature’s beauty!  Due to its completely organic nature, there will never be two just alike. Yours is truly one of a kind.

Your Bowl has been hand turned and finished with several coats of oils and varnish. It is then polished and buffed by hand. It has also been finished with several coats of microcrystalline wax. This entire process was completed in my shop in Senatobia, MS.

To care for your bowl, simply wipe with a soft cloth occasionally. If needed a damp cloth can be used.
