Item Description

1 Regular sized bottle of BRIO to split over some good news!

Brand Napa Valley is a highly-regarded boutique vineyard located on Pritchard Hill near St. Helena, in Napa Valley, California.  Brand produces three red, Cabernet Sauvignon based wines from their various parcels. This seductively playful wine exudes deep notes of dark chocolate, spice, tobacco, and mint.  Textured and impeccably balanced with silky tannins, it resonates with sophisticated layers of dark red fruits, with just a hint of sweet oak.  82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, 405 cases produced.

Independent Reviews:

92 points, Vinous

“The 2013 BRIO is dark, pliant and wonderfully expressive today.  Dark red cherry, plum, spice, dark chocolate, new leather, French oak and open-knit aromatics are some of the signatures.  Far from a second wine, the Brio is rich and exuberant, with plenty of vintage signatures and tons of personality.  This is a terrific wine in a great Napa Valley vintage." (Antonio Galloni, 10/2015)

91 points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

“The least expensive wine [from Brand Napa Valley] is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon BRIO Estate, which is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc blend.  I suspect, in essence, that this is their second wine, although there was no admission to that.  It is a more evolved, faster-aging style of wine with notes of spice box, cedar wood, incense, forest floor, tobacco leaf and blackcurrants.  It is Bordeaux-like, but rich, fleshy and medium to full-bodied. This wine can be drunk now or cellared for another 12-15 years." (Robert Parker, 10/2015)
