Item Description
In 1969 Salvador Dalí illustrated Lewis Caroll's classic masterpiece, Alice in Wonderland, which was later described as collaboration of epic proportion. Published by Random House as a small, exclusive series of their Book of the Month, the volume went on to become one of the most sought-after Dalí suites of all time. It contains 12 heliogravures — one for each chapter of the book and he signed every one of them.
We are thrilled to be auctioning off three of these fabulous works - “A Caucus Race & a Long Tail” (owl & snake), “Who Stole the Tarts” (deer & cake) and “Advice from a Caterpillar”
