Item Description
Natasha Ensign is a 2005 graduate of the Academic and Education Career Academy in Midland. In 2006, she won a small scholarship to Delta College while attending ACEA and later joined the Marines in 2007. These experiences inspired Natasha to study social sciences and education at Liberty University, and she began working in the Office of Disability Resources at Delta College in 2018. As a 2019 Master of Education graduate from Liberty University, Natasha plans to continue working at Delta while also building upon her home-based novelty shop, Hippie from the Hood.
Brittany Risk is a 2019 Associates in Fine Art graduate from Delta College and has worked in the Office of Disability Resources as a student worker since 2017. Natasha recruited Brittany to join her as a team mate for the Downtown Midland Summer Sculpture Series because Brittany recently won the Franz Artist Award and Best Portfolio at Delta College. Brittany’s artwork has also been showcased in Studio 23 located in Bay City. Natasha is aware of Brittany’s aspirations to become a self-employed artist, and believed they would have a good working relationship, and could handle the problem-solving tasks of working on their sculpture.
