Item Description
Mixed media
16" x 27" x 1.5"
Bev Silva is a mixed media collage artist who studied with local and nationally known artists, and enjoys experimenting on her own. She creates abstract landscapes, particularly urban scenes. An elected artist member of The Art League RI, and member of the AAM, Pawtucket Arts Collaborative and Warwick Center for the Arts, she exhibits frequently in group and open juried shows.
City at Dawn is part of a series of cityscapes created by the artist over several years, and still ongoing. Influenced by her years of working and living in the city, it is based loosely on an outline of buildings in Providence. It does not depict an identifiable location, but seeks to capture the essence of the city. It was created with watercolor, found papers and painted paper.
