Item Description
Watercolor
18" x 15" x 1"
Sara Chaloux's early artistic expression was revealed through photography. As a hospice/geriatric social worker this creative outlet allowed her an avenue of rejuvenation. As retirement approached, the pull to expand artistically led Sara to watercolor. She is self-taught, but continues to take classes and workshops locally and around New England. Classes include those at the AAM and RISD.
This piece is painted from a photograph the artist captured in Camden, Maine. She was intrigued by the stillness of the water and the almost perfect reflection that resulted. Ironically, it was not until she developed the photo that she realized the name of the boat. Through watercolor, the artist has attempted to capture a gentle, serene moment.
