Helen Lozoraitis has always kept up her involvement with art and the natural world as a way to balance out a career in the computer software industry in and around Cambridge, MA. Since 2010, her work has been shown in nature-oriented exhibits at a number of Mass Audubon wildlife sanctuaries and the John J. Audubon Center at Mill Grove in Audubon, PA, as well as in more general art venues in MA.
Moonlight Journey was created by the artist in 2013 during one of numerous intensive collage workshops she attended at the Snow Farm NE Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA, over the past 10 years. The mixed media piece incorporates fragments of real mica found at Snow Farm in addition to hand-painted papers and the original photo of a Buckeye butterfly taken on the MA South Coast. kitchensyncstudio.com
