Joan Powers is a Business Manager from 9am-5pm and an artist the rest of the time. She seeks to capture and share the uniqueness of her subjects not only in her photography but in her other artwork as well. Joan resides in Massachusetts. It is one of the best places to live as a photographer as the seasons, diversity, ocean and mountains provide something to photograph all year round.
The broad spectrum of color gives us so much detail. When the color is stripped away from this magenta and yellow daylily we are left with the deep beauty. The detail, although different, becomes so much more visible. This daylily was given to Joan many years ago in memory of her dog Gina. It is planted where Gina loved to be.
