Red Star in Midsummer Night is a ceramic vessel. This covered multi sided vessel has a dark navy matte textural glaze accented by small metallic triangular decorative elements on three sides. It?s unique pit fired finish results from a firing method known as saggar firing, in which the work is placed within a larger vessel with other combustible material and then placed in the kiln and fired.
