7-night Stay at the beautiful Acocote "Eco Inn" on Chetumal Bay in Xcalak, Mexico

The manatees, dolphins, rays, turtles and all the gorgeous tropical fish that swim among coral heads just wading distance from Acocote Eco Inn's door, are protected by Xcalak National Reef Park. The sleepy Mayan town of Xcalak hosts two excellent dive shops, and a number of knowledgeable fly fishing guides that can give you a shot at a flats grand slam. (You know what I'm talking about fishermen.)

Acocote is an old word for dahlia, the national flower of Mexico. Long ago, the acocote served the indigenous people as a portable sanctuary. Acocote provided food, water, beauty, and comfort to travelers adventuring far afield of home which is also our commitment to our guests. Doesn't mean you can't bring your electronics with you, we do have power and internet connectivity, but you can minimize your carbon footprint staying with us completely unplugged from the grid. Whether you are coming to Xcalak for the world class scuba diving on the Great Mayan Reef, guided or DIY grand slam saltwater fly fishing, or you just want to relax on a pristine, secluded beach, Acocote Eco Inn is your gateway to the Xcalak Reef National Park, the flats of Chetumal Bay, or a hammock under a coconut tree with a good book.

• Available for up to 4 people.  All the rooms in our Xcalak Hotel are two bedroom, two bath suites with a living/dining area and full kitchen.
• Grand slam saltwater fly fishing (walk to flats or schedule a guided trip), scuba dive the Great Mayan Reef, kayak or stand-up paddle board, explore ancient Mayan ruins, or just chill with a book on the beach.
• Step outside your room and snorkel in the warm Carribean, relax under the shaded palapa, or sip a cold beverage as you enjoy the warm sun on your face.

Restrictions:

• Based on availability anytime except Dec 18-Jan 4, and Easter week.

Notes:

• Guided fishing in Chetumal bay is not included but can be arranged.
• Meals are not included however, there are 5 restaurants in Xcalak, including delivery pizza as well as the full kitchen that includes basics like coffee, milk, beans, rice, oil, cereal, spices, etc..
• Airfare is not included, however flights to Cancun from Denver can be as low as $200 round trip if you come off season.  We recommend using fare alerts on travel sites like kayak.com for the best deals.
• Transportation: Recommend rental car, however other transportation options are available.
