Item Description
Peggy Conlin and Delores Ford-Heinrich have enjoyed their collaboration in creating the “Growing a Healthy Midland” sculpture. As first time participants in the Downtown Sculpture Series, Peggy and Delores have drawn on their many years of creative experience and talents to imagine and construct this sculpture. Look carefully, each golf ball dimple has a 1” painting of a fruit or vegetable that is grown in the Midland area.”
Peggy is an artist who has had the privilege of teaching at both middle school and college levels. As a young person living near Pittsburgh, she attended art classes taught by an individual who had also taught Andy Warhol.
Delores pulls on many years of informal training to create and repurpose unique designs.
As both friends and neighbors, coming from different perspectives, they have found this to be an interesting way to combine their talents in a fun 3-D piece of artwork.
