About:
Tucked away on the Pleasant Valley Wine Trail, Bon Niche is a Women-Owned and Veteran-Operated Winery and highlights locally-grown grapes, incredible wine country views, and a relaxed atmosphere. Our wine selections include Bordeaux-style single varietals and blends, as well as Chardonnay, Syrah, and a Dessert Wine.
As veterans, we are well aware of the challenges and opportunities that people face today. We know that an escape to Paso Robles Wine Country can adjust your outlook on life, allowing you to take a deep breath, explore the connection of land and grapes, and spend time with people you care about. After all, wine is meant to be shared with food and friends – and if you can do that while overlooking a vineyard, then you know you’re in a good place!
Sitting on a beautiful 10 acres, only 12 miles east of Paso Robles, Bon Niche Cellars has 7 acres of vineyards, producing Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. Originally planted in 2007 by Joyce and Wally Murray, the vineyard is cared for now by Melani Harding and Barley, a St. Berdoodle. It was Barley’s dream of becoming a Winery Dog that triggered the move from a military career to that of a winemaker, and Melani purchased the property in 2018. It’s not uncommon to find them wandering the vineyard, greeting the grapevines or chasing gophers.
