Item Description

For stargazers, makers, and cyclists aspiring to greater mindfulness, a three-book set from Quarto Group.

Mindful Thoughts for Stargazers written by Mark Westmoquette presents a constellation of meditations on how the mysteries of the outer universe connect us all more deeply to our inner universes.

Mindful Thoughts for Makers is a lovingly-crafted little book celebrating the meditative beauty and nature of making. In it, Ellie Beck reveals why creating with our hands is uplifting, rewarding and soothing for the mind, body, and soul.

Cycling is about more than competitive racing, lycra, and physical endurance; it’s about joy, meditative wonder and spiritual enrichment. Mindful Thoughts for Cyclists presents a series of focused meditations on why and how cycling can be a powerful practice of mindful awareness. From the pleasure of riding down a hill, to finding the upsides of a flat, Nick Moore steers us on an enlightening journey through the true value of riding a bicycle.

Mark Westmoquette is an astronomer, ordained ex-Zen monk, and pilgrimage walker.

Ellie Beck is a textile artist, creative maker and teacher, finding inspiration in and from nature.

Nick Moore is a cyclist, writer, and cycling journalist. He was a high-mileage ‘MAMIL’ (middle-aged man in lycra) for over 10 years and had an epiphany when diagnosed with osteoarthritis aged 40. Since then, he has learnt to enjoy cycling for the journey rather than the destination.

Quarto Group: Beautiful books, creative projects and useful information for curious and passionate minds of all ages
