Item Description

Oil 16" x 28" x 1"

Colleen Vandeventer studied painting at the SMFA in Boston, and has continued her learning and growth through studying with Master artists throughout the US.  She is an artist member of the Providence Art Club, the Cape Cod Art Center and Oil Painters of America.   Her studio is located at 80 Fountain Street in Pawtucket where she teaches classes, frames for other artists and paints as often as possible.

After her grandmother passed away, Colleen inherited a basket that had been made for her grandmother by a close cousin.  This became the inspiration for the still-life Handwoven, and represents the talent and love of two very special individuals in Colleen's life.
