Joe Rattie is a retired O.R. nurse who's passion is creating abstract photography. He studied photography at the Rhode Island School of Photography. Currently he is enrolled in an advanced photography art course at Rhode Island College. In August he was the featured artist in the AAM's Community Gallery.

The Question is the first image of a new series of closeup abstract photographs. The series is based on the residue and remnants of flyers and bits of graffiti observed on aluminum utility poles. In this work Mr. Rattie exhibits his unique ability to find and present the beauty in urban blight and eyesores.
