Item Description
Lion's Roar supporter Jonathan DeYoe says, "Doing money right is exceedingly simple." With this offering he will work side-by-side with the successful bidder to develop a personal financial plan based on behaviors that are easy to understand and employ.
Jonathan also says that "I believe most of us for whom money is a difficult subject suffer because we focus on the wrong things about money, the things that our culture and the financial services world push us to focus on. It doesn't take specialized knowledge to focus on the right things. But, it takes planning; understanding our own human nature. And mindfulness."
The planning process encompasses:
- Data Gathering - a list of documentation goal sets is provided to the client for completion and discovery;
- Data Responses - data is converted into Plan format, presented, and verified and/or confirmed by the client and refinements made;
- Scenario Planning - with the skeleton Plan in place, Jonathan runs two “What-If” Planning Scenarios under direction of client (eg. retirement in 2022 vs. retirement in 2025; staying in big family house vs. downsizing; staying in Bay Area vs. moving to less expensive location.)
- Action Plan recommendations
- One-hour check-in at the one-year mark.
Sessions will take place by phone or Skype. If the successful bidder is local (San Francisco Bay Area), the meetings can happen in person.
Jonathan will also provide the successful bidder with a copy of his book Mindful Money with forward by Alice Walker.
Jonathan K. DeYoe is the president of DeYoe Wealth Management in Berkeley, CA, the author of Mindful Money: Simple Practices for Reaching Your Financial Goals and Increasing Your Happiness Dividend, and the founder of Mindful.Money - a resource for financial education and digital financial advice.
