Item Description
Bring history into your home with this beautiful wooden tray handcrafted from the flooring of SFA's Aikman Gymnasium that served the University from 1924 until it was torn down in 1975.
Thanks to a generous donation from local philanthropist Frank Aikman, a multi-purpose building was constructed and named in his honor. Aikman Gymnasium served the college not only as an arena for athletics, but also as an auditorium, a theater with seating capacity of 3,500, and as a setting for commencement exercises until they were moved to Shelton Gymnasium in 1953. Aikman gym was demolished in 1975 to make room for new university facilities.

Items are available for pick up at the Alumni Center no earlier than November 8, 2019 and no later than December 20, 2019.
Shipping/Handling is NOT included in the final bidding price. If shipment of your item is required, please contact the Alumni Association for shipping costs at 936-468-3407. All shipments will be sent by November 29, 2019.
Once item is paid for winners will have until 12/20/2019 to pick up items or arrange shipping. Items not picked up or shipped by 12/20/2019 will be held and put in the 2020 auction.
