Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Franco Harris is synonymous with one of the greatest plays in NFL history, the Immaculate Reception. The Immaculate Reception occurred in the AFC Divisional playoff game vs. the Oakland Raiders on December 23, 1972 when Franco Harris scooped up the football and scored the game winning touchdown thus securing his place as one of the all-time great Pittsburgh Steelers. As a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers dynasty during the 1970s below are some of Harris’ career highlights and awards:
