Item Description
During the 2019-2020 season, The British Players will stage three productions at Kensington Town Hall. "Alice in Wonderland" by Andrew O'Leary can be seen in December 2019 and January 2020; British pantomime is a popular form of family theatre, incorporating song, dance, buffoonery, slapstick, in-jokes, and lots of audience participation. "The Audience" by Peter Morgan will go on in March 2020, and deals with the totally secret, private weekly meetings between Queen Elizabeth II and many of her Prime Ministers. "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" by Rupert Holmes will be staged in June 2020. This is a Music Hall-style, murder mystery musical based on Charles Dickens' unfinished novel 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood.' It has multiple endings since the audience participates in solving the mystery.
