Wine enthusiasts will rejoice with this rare magnum bottle (1.5L) of Giramonte, vintage 2006. Highly prized by the media and wine critics, this is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Sangiovese from the hills of Tuscany. A magnum is the perfect size bottle for a great dinner party and ensures the quality of the wine is perfectly preserved over the years. Vintage 2006 was one of the best since the early 80's, the wine is now mature and perfectly integrated yet the structure and the quality of the vintage ensures that the wine will continue to gracefully evolve for many years.
Earning a whopping 97 points from Wine Spectator, they proclaimed that the Giramonte is "Black in color, with super ripe and intense aromas of crushed berries, espresso and blackberry, full-bodied with velvety tannins and a rich finish - massive yet balanced."
Ideal with all roasts, grills, and barbecues, and with sautéed fillets of beef, but try it with delicate cheeses as well. Invite some friends over for a delicious meal paired with this rare gem of a wine.
