Mt. Washington Observatory (MWO) is a private, nonprofit, member-supported institution with a mission to advance understanding of the natural systems that create Earth’s weather and climate. It serves this mission by maintaining a weather station on the summit of Mount Washington, performing weather and climate research, conducting innovative science education programs, and interpreting the heritage of the Mount Washington region. 

Each summer MWO hosts the nation’s premiere hiking event Seek the Peak.  Now in its 20th year STP will take place on July 17-18, 2020.  This event welcomes hikers of all ages and abilities to the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire.  

Participant registration starts at a $200 level earning entry into the full event, an Eastern Mountain Sports backpack, a Hart’s Turkey Dinner and entry into gear giveaway offering up thousands of $ in items. The weekend events include: 

Friday, July 17 
Kick-Off Party and Registration at the Weather Discovery Center in North Conway
Observatory Weather Station tours on the summit of Mount Washington (both days) 

Saturday, July 18
The STP Vendor Expo featuring premier sponsors Eastern Mountain Sports, Oboz Footwear, The Mount Washington Auto Road & emceed by Backpacker Magazines Get Out More Tour with several other vendors showcasing and giving away prizes at base of the Auto Road (2:00-6:00pm) 

Dinner & Awards including a massive gear giveaway, & dinner (6:00pm-7:30pm) 
All while supporting the non-profit Mount Washington Observatory!

Ultimately the weekend is an incredible gathering of like-minded outdoor enthusiasts who have come together to Seek their Peaks in support of Mount Washington Observatory.
