Item Description
Historical private tour for up to 8 people
Camp Pine Knot is not normally open to the public for tours, so grab this opportunity! Accessible by boat only, your day will start about 9:00 when you board the water taxi bound for Pine Knot, just a 15 min boat ride from the village. The 90 minute guided tour includes stops at many of the buildings to admire the rustic twig and log work.
The architectural style known as "Great Camp" originated in Raquette Lake with Camp Pine Knot. It was at Camp Pine Knot that William West Durant began his creation of a harmonious woodland architecture that institutionalized the style we know today as Great Camp.
