About the class: Working with personal inquiry, you will be guided through the mysterious language of Symbols, creating conversation with the unknown, aiming toward transformation. These workshops are designed for those new to Alchemical Art as well as experienced Alchemists. The class is limited to 8 people to provide plenty of one-on-one guidance.
About Alchemical Art: Alchemical Art is a very user friendly mixed media creative process that is designed to encourage experimentation and self reflection while deemphasizing aesthetics. It is a technique that you can use for ongoing self discovery.
I'm not an Artist! So why would I do this?
Alchemical Art is a tool to active the conversation between you and the mystery. This kind of creativity is available to everyone. No art knowledge, experience or talent is required. We experiment with things like paint, collage and texture on paper and then see what appears on the page and in one's imagination. We use art methods to awaken image and feeling, opening the doorway to the soul
Alchemical Art is:
- Relaxing into the unfamiliar and taking risks
- Noticing what is awakened inside you as you work with paint, texture and paper
- Opening pathways of creativity in the spirit of living a fuller life.
Alchemical Art is NOT:
- Making magnificent works of art (except you might!)
- Predictable
- An art class teaching things like composition and color theory
