Item Description
"Princess Tea Flower" limited edition lithograph is by contemporary artist Mark Ryden. "Princess Tea Flower" is based on his design for American Ballet Theater's ballet Whipped Cream. It measures at 8.5"x11" and was released in 2017. The "Princess Tea Flower" limited edition lithographic mini-print is printed on heavyweight paper, numbered (920), and has a printed signature in the lower left-hand corner. This mini-print was a gift item at the Gala for the premier of Whipped Cream in New York City.
Blending themes of pop culture with techniques reminiscent of the old masters, Mark Ryden has created a singular style that blurs the traditional boundaries between high and low art. His work first garnered attention in the 1990s when he ushered in a new genre of painting, "Pop Surrealism", dragging a host of followers in his wake. Ryden's recent exhibitions include the National Portrait Gallery in London, the Grand Palais in Paris, and the Centro de Arte Contemporáneo of Málaga.
