Item Description
Majolica is fine earthenware with colored decoration on an opaque white tin glaze, originating in Italy during the Renaissance.
This ceramic ornament was created and decorated in Italy, entirely by hand, at GP Deruta Studios. Deruta is a hill town and comune in the Province of Perugia in the Umbria region of central Italy. Long known as a center of refined majolica manufacture, Deruta remains known for its ceramics, which are exported worldwide.
This exquisite decoration for your holiday tree is in like new condition. Approximately 3" high and 9 1/2" round at widest point.
