Item Description
The Boston Globe noted Chelsea Station Bar & Lounge as one of ten restaurants north of Boston you need to visit this year! Opening in 2016 in the old Chelsea Firehouse building, this restaurant opened its doors in 2016 and has been a busy place ever since. It was originally built as a firehouse, with two important moments that enter it uniquely into Chelsea's history books.: First, the firehouse and its firefighters staving off the first enormous fire in 1908. In more recent times, many will remember the devastating fire in 1973. Both of these fires destroyed more than half the city, yet miraculously, this little fire house stood undamaged both times, with the 73’ fire basically ending on the property line of the current restaurant. The owners have kept the firehouse charm, and added their own flair with its high-ceilinged bar serving up craft cocktails, and the kitchen producing new American fare like pan-roasted maple-thyme chicken and warm vegetable salads of baby Brussel sprouts, roasted onion, and red quinoa grain.
