Item Description
These small bells are made of steel and intended for calves, goats, or sheep. In traditional herding practice the bells had a dual purpose--to alert the herder that a predator is disturbing the herd, and to help locate the animals in all weathers.
Each size bell has a unique sound. These two have lovely melodious tones. Smaller bell is marked 10/0 and measures 2" W x 2" H. Larger bell is marked 8/0 and measures 2 1/2" W x 2 1/2" wide. Made in Switzerland by the Buller/Firmann Co.
