Item Description
A special offering in honor of NRWA's 50th Anniversary (1969 to 2019) this year.
In 1993, National Geographic published what was at that time only the 2nd ever edition in its 100+ year history that was devoted to a single topic. That topic was fresh water. Even at that time, Nat'l. Geo. recognized that a sufficient supply of clean fresh water for the world was a critical topic.
The story of the restoration of the Nashua River was of such note at that time, that it became one of the articles--"The Promise of Restoration"-- in this unique edition of the magazine. Pages 106 and 107 featured a two page photo spread of our iconic "Before" and "After" clean-up photos (see item images). And in that article, Marion told the story of how a handful of concerned citizens changed the story of a river and life in our watershed communities.
This is an opportunity to own a piece of Nashua River watershed history-- an unopened new copy of that 1993 National Geographic edition.
Details: New, unopened, in original brown mailing wrapper.
