Item Description
Born in 1881 and raised in the small community of Reber, Edna West Teall exemplified the Adirondack ideal of self-reliance and resourcefulness. She taught herself to write, and became a successful journalist for the Newark (New Jersey) Evening News. In retirement she returned to her Adirondack childhood home and taught herself to paint. The book has many of Tealls painting throughout.
