Item Description

FOR YOUR FAVORITE HISTORY BUFF:

Two hours of personalized archival photo research in Austin

Are you looking for a unique gift for a fan of The University of Texas, LBJ, Congress Avenue or Barton Springs? Would you love to know what your neighborhood looked like long before your time? Have you always wanted a beautiful old image of the State Capitol for your office? Would someone you know enjoy a reproduction of an architectural drawing of a favorite local building or a favorite state park?

Maybe you know a high school senior who would love a vintage photo of his or her school, or you'd like a copy of an old yearbook photo of your mom. Maybe your church would love some historic photos of an old congregation or sanctuary for its lobby.

Team up with a professional journalist who has found thousands of archival images for documentaries, network news programs, museums and the AT&T Center at UT. She knows where the treasures are hidden, and can help you find them. She will work with you to identify the right resource and will visit the appropriate archive with you to help you hunt for what you seek.

(Please note: The cost of prints is not included in your bid. Archives charge fees for reproductions, and there is usually a wait of several weeks to fill your order. You will be responsible for placing the order and making payment to the archive.)

Item Special Note

At the conclusion of the auction, once payment is confirmed, the winner will receive an email with instructions to contact Lynn Boswell and make arrangements to redeem his/her item.

Please double check to ensure your Bidding for Good Account payment method is up to date and not expired to prevent delay in obtaining your auction items.
