Item Description
One-hour college counseling “game plan” session for 2021 graduates, i.e. seniors applying fall 2020. Rural vs urban? Small liberal arts vs large research university? Private vs state school? Sports recruitment vs walk-on? Financial-based aid vs merit-based aid? Far from home vs close to home? These are just some of the aspects of the college search that we’ll brainstorm. My background in PR, marketing and branding comes into play when I advise students and families on what constitutes the “perfect fit” regarding colleges. How to compile a manageable list of schools; how to configure itineraries if/when touring; how to prepare for interviews; how to determine an application strategy. We’ll talk about the importance of test scores, grades, APs, teacher recommendations, community service and summer experiences, sports achievements, art portfolios and performance, among other aspects of your student’s high school life. In this hour, I’ll help your child get started on the college search journey!
Valid Until: 10/15/20
