Item Description

More than 340 bird species have been seen at Chicago's Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary, which juts into Lake Michigan on the North Side of Chicago. The point is a natural stopover in spring for birds traveling the Lake Michigan Flyway to their breeding grounds in Michigan, Wisconsin and Canada. Montrose Point attracts birders from all over the country because of its unique mosaic of habitat and reputation for attracting rare bird species.

Stone parents Bob Dolgan and Kristin Sanders (dad and mom to Sonja and Celeste) are birders and regular visitors to Montrose Point. They invite you to join them for a two-hour bird walk around the point this April or May. Bob and Kristin are glad to host another Stone family or any other small party (approximately 4-6 people) who'd like to join them. The trip is available to birders of all skill levels and all ages. Snacks included!

Item Special Note

Note: For 2020, Bob and Kristin will include a free DVD copy of Bob's film "Monty and Rose," about piping plovers, to the auction winner, and other Chicago plover goodies.
