Item Description
This acrylic painting, Bird of Another Feather, is on stretched burlap. The piece depicts a cheerful and colorful abstract bird, measures 23" X 17", with a hand-built, painted frame, and is wired and ready to hang. Mr. Cohen just ended a one-man exhibit, Courting Paint, at the United States District Court, Greenbelt, MD that included 45 of his paintings. Here is part of what the curator of that exhibit said about Mr. Cohen: "Now consider the recklessly fearless fellow, who chucks caution to the wind and learns to fly by hopping into a cockpit and turning a key. In the world of art, Joel Cohen is that guy - he is the guy who learns by sheer passion -- a seat-of-the-pants flyer from the days of barnstorming and county fairs. He is the gloriously self-taught artist/prankster embracing audacity, humor, and the joyous act of painting itself."
