Item Description
Welcome to the Brooklyn Cat Cafe, the only non-profit cat cafe in New York City.
We are a cat adoption center and social space run by the Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) animal rescue group.
A team of volunteers serves at the cafe during open hours and prepares and cleans after hours. A supervisor certified in aspects of cat care is on site during all open hours.
We also operate as a resource center for animal rescuers, providing educational workshops and holding space for newly-rescued cats. We began conducting Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) services in December 2016.
Reservations are recommended but not required. We do take walk-ins. Note that weekends and holidays tend to have a 15-30 minute wait times during peak hours (1-4) and individuals with reservations gain admittance first.
