Item Description

This package includes Ice Skating passes and skate rentals for 4 people

In the early 1970s the growing community of Dublin decided that there was a need for more family oriented activities. The East Bay Iceland Corporation stepped in with plans for a new ice skating facility. The land was purchased from rancher George Hansen, a member of one of the city’s founding families, and construction began on the new building. On April 7, 1975 Dublin Iceland opened its doors for the first time.

Public sessions and learn-to-skate classes introduced the people of Dublin to this sport. Coaches from different parts of the Bay Area came to teach the young and young at heart to skate. Soon, there was a thriving group of skating enthusiasts at the new rink.

In addition to public sessions that serve the community at large, figure skating and hockey programs began to grow. Both the St Moritz Ice Skating Club and Tri-Valley Minor Hockey Association started programs at the new rink that continue today.

Item Special Note
