Item Description
A hand-carved vintage mask, Tsonoqua, made and signed by Stan Matilpi. Mr. Matilpi was born at Alert Bay on Vancouver Island in 1936. He is a member of the very prominent Northwest Coast Matilpi family. Stanley began carving in the late 1960's and trained under the guidance of his brother Oscar Matilpi. He passed away in 2005. There is a small paint repair on the right side of the mask (see photo). The original value was $250 but has been changed to $200 because of the repair.

Pickup is at Baltimore Center Stage, 700 North Calvert Street Tuesday, March 10 through Friday, March 13 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. You must call in advance, 410.986.4025, to make arrangements.
