Item Description
Discovery Museum is a hands-on museum for families that blends science, nature, and play.
The all-new Discovery Museum opened in March 2018! Come explore re-imagined exhibits -- and many new ones -- from both original museums, now combined into one beautiful and accessible space for all ages to play, explore, and learn together. There are intimate, immersive experiences for the youngest learners and new galleries of STEAM experiences for all ages, including water, light and color, sound, making and creating, math, and a 14-foot interactive air maze.
The museum has been honored with a 2018 John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts LEAD® Community Asset Award; named Boston Magazine's 2018 Best of Boston(R), Best Family-Friendly Museum, West; Gold, Best Museum, 2018 Wicked Local Reader's Choice Awards; and "Best of the Best" in the 2018 Boston Parents Paper Family Favorites awards.
Admission includes access to both the museum and the Discovery Woods outdoor nature playscape, with a wiggly bridge, rain garden, cargo net climb, nest swing, and 550sf treehouse abutting 180 acres of conservation land.
All exhibits are hands-on, low-tech, open-ended, and interactive, to encourage play and exploration, and the entire campus and exhibits are accessible. Come play and learn together.
This certificate entitles the bearer admission for up to four people. Visit http://discoveryacton.org for more information.
