Monty Smith is a Tacoma mindfulness coach. He has studied mindfulness and affiliated practices for over forty years and loves to share these practices with others. He holds BA and JD degrees from Gonzaga University, a Masters of Divinity from St Paul School of Theology and a Certificate for Life Coaching. From 1979 - 84 he lived in a community in India studying spirituality and has worked cross-culturally since then. After twenty-five years as a United Methodist minister, in addition to teaching mindfulness, he began serving environmental initiatives in a variety of roles. Currently he is a member of Reflective Practices faculty and various committees for the Puyallup Watershed Initiative.
