Item Description

In 1793, James Monroe purchased one thousand acres of land near Charlottesville, VA. His plantation, which he would name "Highland," was home to his family for nearly 25 years.

Stroll through the gardens and grounds, learn about the latest research discoveries, and explore the life of a founder. This certificate provides tickets for Four (4) to a guided tour of James Monroe's Highland. Highland today is a 535-acre estate with the atmosphere of a working plantation, complete with demonstrations and special events.
