A simple toast, “To great wine, great food, and time to enjoy great friends”, resonated deeply for Leslie Rudd and provided the inspiration for the creation of PRESS Restaurant.
After founding Rudd Estate where wines of great finesse and pedigree are produced, PRESS was the culmination of his life’s passions—a showcase for fine foods, wines, spirits and camaraderie.
Now, Samantha Rudd has returned to the family business, and is furthering her father’s legacy of outstanding winemaking and cuisine in Napa Valley. A dynamic young owner, she brings her own energy to the businesses and the team.
Your dinner at PRESS consists of a Chef’s Tasting Menu with Rudd Estate wines specially selected to pair with each course. Rudd Estate Wines are the ultimate expression of a world-class terroir: and the greater the terroir, the greater the fruit. The wines are both subtle and complex, textured and divinely balanced. To make this even more special, Vintner/Owner Samantha Rudd will introduce each of the wines.
Some of Samantha’s fondest memories of the Napa Valley are from meals at PRESS, and there is no doubt that she will make yours special, too.
The culinary team at PRESS proudly presents modern steakhouse cuisine with a distinctly Napa Valley flair. In addition to sourcing its dry-aged, USDA prime beef and other proteins from local purveyors, the numerous vegetable-based dishes prominently featured on the menu give PRESS a true sense of place. The cuisine at PRESS, like the wine, is rooted in its terroir, letting the ingredients speak for themselves.
