Item Description
Re-Inventing Camp for the Modern Era:
It was 1980–Steve sported denim shorts as a religion and Kate rocked Reeboks to aerobics. Both had a passion for camp, but traditional camps had two crucial flaws–kids participated in activities based on age, not interests, and parents had to pay non-refundable fees. Camps weren’t responsive to people’s actual needs. So they built a camp where kids were in charge of their choices and parents could buy any number of day passes, attend any time, and get automatic refunds for unused passes. Campers no longer film onto VHS, but Steve and Kate are still just as obsessed with addressing individuals’ needs.
WE’RE MAKIN’ A MAKERSPACE
Nothing screams Steve & Kate’s self-directed learning philosophy quite like tinkering with tools and materials to create new things. Campers tackle Maker challenges like building model vehicles and creating instruments using found and recyclable materials. While we don’t guarantee that your child’s vehicle will get you around town—in fact we guarantee that it won’t—campers will have the chance to let their imaginations run wild.
Pass is good for THREE days of camp for a single child during the 2020 summer session.
Item Special Note
