The Young Riders Youth Mountain Bike Program was founded in 1996 as a way to keep kids happy and healthy when the snow melts, works to improve fitness, build friendships, and explore the environment and establish responsibility in youths throughout the Park City area.
Their qualified coaches and instructors make riding safe, fun and adventuresome for riders of any age or ability. On each ride, They explore an aspect in each of the following mountain bike realms; healthy lifestyles, technical skills, mechanical skills, responsible riding, way-finding, proper trail etiquette and respect for the environment.
WEEK LONG CAMPS
2020 Season Programs Start June 8th and Proceed through August 14th
A Crash Course in Mountain Biking. Perfect for a Week in Park City.
The Weekly camps are just that, a camp that meets every day Monday-Friday, for 3 hours (9-12pm) during a specified week. Seventeen camps are scheduled throughout the summer with Pee Wee, Never-ever, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. The rides are designed to promote a successful experience!
Camps are limited to 10 participants.
Young Riders offer five types of camps for different ages and abilities.
Pee Wee Camps are for 5-7 years old kids riding on 16″ & 20″ rims (NO TRAINING WHEELS). These camps focus on basic trails and pathways, safety, and riding techniques (turning, braking). These rides are 2 hours long. (9:30-11:30am).
Beginner Youth Camps are for 7-9 years old kids riding 20″ & 24″ rims with gears. These camps focus on beginner single track trails, safety, basic mountain bike techniques (climbing, descending, obstacles, and proper fit). (9am-12pm).
Beginner Junior Camps are for 10-13 years old kids riding 24″ & 26″, 29″ rims. These camps focus on older youths who may be new to the sport and will work on beginner dirt single track trails. (9am-12pm).
Intermediate Camps are for 9-13 years old kids riding 24″ & 26″, 29″ rims. These camps focus on Intermediate single track trails with various obstacles, longer climbs, and descents. Safety, trail etiquette, riding techniques (steep climbs, steep descents, switchbacks, step-ups, speed, etc.). (9am-12pm).
Advanced Camps are for 10-14 years old kids riding 24″ & 26″, 29″ rims. These camps focus on advanced single track trails with multiple obstacles, long climbs, and advanced descents. Participants require strong fitness levels. All riding, mechanical, safety, etiquette, nutrition and fitness aspects are explored. These rides are 3 hours long. (9am-12pm).

Valid for Summer 2020 only. One-week camp, Monday thru Friday, 9:00 Am - 12:00 PM. The spot must be reserved by 3/15/2020.
