Item Description
Hand carved wooden boat including a hand fitted wooden slat interior and brass riveted exterior
This piece was likely once used decades ago as a flower arranging display vessel - ikenobu fune- or as likely for sushi presentation.
Its substantial size suggests an institutional purpose. Either way it is an historic gem and a seldom seen size and work of art.
Dimensions: 42 inches in length and 13 inches wide
This dates to the early 20th century
