Additional Information:

Adopt-A-Native-Elder - this rug came from the annual Rug Show & Sale supporting traditional Navajo Elders. Every November Adopt-A-Native-Elder takes over the Snow Park Lodge at Deer Valley Resort in Park City Utah for a five-day show featuring more than 600 of the one of a kind weavings, incredible pieces of native jewelry, crafts, and the amazing culture of the Navajo people.

The show is unique in many ways, the most important being that it is staffed by more than 200 volunteers, and 100% of all sales go directly to the artists. All the artists set the prices for their weavings and jewelry and take the proceeds home.

The Rug Show helps Adopt-A-Native-Elder create a market for the Elders’ crafts and raise awareness about the Elders’ needs. The Elders bring rugs, jewelry, and baskets to sell.
