Item Description
This is one of a series of four pastels (items 696-699) by Edda Jakab. Each is a masterpiece by itself, together they are exquisite. Decide what works best for you--one for a bedroom wall; two in the dining room; or all four if you have appropriate space. We are offering them separately. Each is a delicate floral in shades of pink and green, on a soft yellow background, in a glassed, dark wooden frame. The overall size is 25" X 32". Known to be by Edda Jakab but unsigned.
Edda Jakab was a Maryland artist who showed her work in numerous exhibits regionally and nationally. She was the recipient of awards as well as critical attention for paintings and drawings that have over time changed in style from detailed realism to abstraction. Edda received her art education at the Maryland Institute, College of Art. A native of Germany, she died in 2007.
