Christine Sand: 200-Hour Yoga Certification; Registered Yoga Alliance; CPR/AED; B.A. Anthropology; M.A. Education and Linguistics. Christine has nearly 20 years experience as a yoga professional, teaching in the styles of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Power, Slow Flow, Hatha, Prenatal, and Restorative. Christine teaches yoga because she firmly believes it makes you a better you. Christine discovered this first hand when she stepped onto the mat and her body and perspectives shifted dramatically- especially in terms of muscle lengthening and self-acceptance. 6 months later, she was teaching anyone she could that they were beautiful and important beings with infinite capacity to reach your goals. No matter what brings you to the mat, there is nothing like the contemplation, breath work and bodywork that yoga offers. Christine was able to recover from knee injuries and drastically improve her asthma through breath work and focus on alignment. Christine believes even beginners can access the compassion, strength, and joy that yoga offers- even in the 1st class! There is something truly special about being in the moment, overcoming limitations, and feeling uplifted after a class; it's this feeling that keeps Christine coming back for more.
