"Reiki is a safe, non-invasive energy practice that promotes relaxation and healing. It supports well being and complements traditional healthcare. Reiki is an eastern practice based on the philosophy that universal energy flows around and within us."
Reiki involves lightly laying of hands just above or on the clothed body, working over the front and back in a slow progression of hand positions. Reiki has no religious doctrine and is accepted by people from all backgrounds and belief systems.
Dana is a Master trained in the Usui Method of Reiki with over 4 years of experience using Reiki to support people in achieving their wellness goals. Reiki helps people move through and see something greater than a diagnosis.

"Reiki is better than placebo in activating the parasympathetic nervous system, as measured by reduced heart rate, reduced blood pressure, and increased heart rate variability. For patients with chronic health conditions, Reiki has been found to be more effective than placebo for reducing pain, anxiety, and depression, and for improving self-esteem and quality of life. According to the neurovisceral integration model and the polyvagal theory, these effects are due to higher parasympathetic nervous system activity, mediated via the vagus nerve."
