Item Description
Come enjoy a private, VIP experience at the Asian Art Museum’s newest exhibit with Nada Perrone (mother to Kian, 5th Grade)!
You and your son will have exclusive access before the museum opens to teamLab's Sketch Ocean where your son will design a fanciful sea creature, and then watch it come to life and swim with all the other sea creatures in a wall-sized moving aquarium projection. A docent-led tour will take you through Zheng Chongbin's contemporary installation I Look for the Sky and related artwork in various galleries and spaces. Each boy will also be among one of the first to take a self-guided tour of the museum’s inaugural exhibition, teamLab: Continuity, in the newly constructed Pavilion. Tokyo-based teamLab will marvel you with multiple floor-to-ceiling immersive art installations that will awaken all of yours sense – sight, sound, touch and smell. Covering 13,000 square feet, you will dive into a digital setting where the art responds to you.
The day ends with Boba Guys drinks and snacks in the private Fisher Room.
Sunday, May 31st
9:00am - 12:00pm
Each ticket is for one child, plus one chaperone.
About teamLab:
teamLab is wildly popular and has been sold out in Japan and Paris for months. This will be the first time they are exhibiting a major show in the US.
Founded in Tokyo in 2001, teamLab is a collective of more than 500 people, including programmers, designers, engineers, animators, and artists who create immersive digital experiences outside the realm of the traditional art world. In many cases, they root their imagery in historical Japanese art, but use the visual language of high-tech rendering and animation.
