Polkela means little thigh in Yiddish, a dinnertime favorite of its co-founders, Max Podemski and Sarah Klinger. It is inspired by the every day built environment of Los Angeles and the other cities they have called home. Max is a city planner, and Sarah is a freelance illustrator and designer. They explore the city on foot, which is how they hope to sample its best polkela.
